Reliable and Fast internet access
Business Internet – true fibre Internet. Not all fibre-based Internet connections you see advertised are true fibre services. Some even have traditional copper connections as the access connection in to your building.
Smart Internet is available in four different packages to suit companies of all shapes and sizes:
Smart Internet 25
100Mbps connection with 25Mbps of uncontended Internet
Smart Internet 50
100Mbps connection with 50Mbps of uncontended Internet
Smart Internet 100
100Mbps connection with 100Mbps of uncontended Internet
…or our very latest Smart Internet package created specifically to cater for the growing demand of cloud based services & application delivery:
Smart Internet 1000
1000Mbps connection with 1000Mbps of uncontended Smart Internet
Despite the claims, such services are not symmetrical and you end up sharing a contended connection with other businesses and consumers in your area.
Our Smart Internet provides business grade,
end-to-end fibre from your premises all the way to our core network and nothing less. This means you receive non-contended, ultra-fast, symmetrical and fully scalable connectivity.
You can use this not only for your Smart Internet, but also for all the critical services your company needs – both now, and in future. This is because one connection from us provides you with a stepping-stone to our next-generation smart wired network. From here you can subscribe to all the different types of services and applications you can think of, safe in the knowledge that our truly fibre-based, protocol agnostic, Ethernet connection into your building will provide an industrial strength, highly-reliable delivery mechanism.
You can also expect to get non-contended Internet delivered over fibre with the same high-speed uploads as for downloads.
Delivered over a fibre-optic connection, Smart Internet scales up the full capacity of your connection, meaning it can continue to serve your needs as your organisation grows, giving you the peace of mind that demands of the future can be catered for without further connectivity investment.
Consolidating services across one connection means you get a flatter and easier-to-manage network, reducing the day-to-day technical and administrative burden placed on your staff. The clever part is that if you don’t need the entire capacity of your connection for Internet, you can actually split the circuit up using secure VLANs and use it to deliver other services and applications, saving you infrastructure costs.
Fibre-optic Internet is aimed at businesses with greater connectivity demands. Available across the UK, it offers a dedicated fibre-optic service delivering an uncontended Internet Access connection at speeds from 10Mb to 10Gb. Importantly, fibre-optic Internet is delivered with a service commitment and the option of a Managed Router service.
Ethernet First Mile (EFM)
Ethernet First Mile service is ideal for customers looking for an alternative solution to fibre-optic Internet. It is delivered over Ethernet First Mile (EFM) technology, is uncontended and offers a lead time of typically 25 working days. Speeds from 2Mb to 20Mb are available in most towns and cities. Importantly, Ethernet First Mile Internet is delivered with a service commitment and the option of a Managed Router service.
Fibre-to-the-cabinet (FTTC), ADSL and SDSL
Fibre-to-the-cabinet (FTTC) offers significant levels of business-grade Internet bandwidth without the cost of installing a dedicated fibre-optic Internet service direct to the premises. Delivered with a service commitment, Fibre-to-the-cabinet offers reliability and a simple install. Fibre-to-the-cabinet is being rolled out and has limited reach outside major towns and cities.
ADSL and SDSL connections are typically deployed in one of two ways; a primary connectivity in small businesses / branch offices or a backup to a fibre-optic service in larger office.
